I like to have exciting evenings while I am on vacation. At the same time I value being indoors. I am 49 so my kids do not expect me to hop-skip around! I am glad I chose to stay at Suryagarh. The owners are very friendly and helpful. Very pleasant and enjoyable to live with that I look forward to visit Jodhpur next year as well. You have no idea what a hidden gem ‘Suryagarh’ is! It is like living in a palace like a prince. The rooms are breathtakingly beautiful and the overall the ambiance is great! 5 stars! I will definitely recommend SURYAGARH home-stay to my friends when they visit Jodhpur (Rajasthan) in future. Hopefully I will see you folks next year!

There is so much you can do in Jodhpur and other places in Rajasthan. One of the best part of my trip was my stay at Suryagarh. The owner-manager was kind and friendly and they have done some amazing work for tourists. I got their reference from another friend and I was thrilled to live in Suryagarh. I got a taste of royal living and felt ‘at home’. Can’t wait to get home and show pictures to my kids. Thanks for the beautiful gift! I recommend Suryagarh to anyone who wants to experience luxury at affordable prices in Jodhpur.

I was a little skeptical before making my reservations at Suryagarh Stay-at-Home. It turns out that I was wrong. I truly enjoyed my 20 day stay at your home. If you need to give my personal reference to someone, I’d be more than happy to give it. I think I have got 200% more value for the money I paid at these grand accommodations. Thanks again. See you in 2011.

I love to travel but often miss home. My stay in Jodhpur was like ‘staying at home’. Of course there was more sand in Jodhpur but that’s not the point…:) I loved staying at Suryagarh for the following reasons. I hope my recommendations can help any traveler who is looking for a hotel in Jodhpur.

1. The owners are very nice. It was like I was living with family. The food was great and I got to customize the food as per my taste! I think I have met the best cooks in the world on my trip to Jodhpur.

2. The interiors of the fort or ‘haveli’ are beautiful. My room was near a large patio which overlooked the nice garden. I have never slept on super king size beds but I will be thinking of these on my way home. In all, the rooms were comfortable and a good mix of modern facilities and ancient architecture. As an archeologist I love to explore the unexplored. Suryagarh is truly a hidden gem.

3. I love to drink wine and was delighted to see a bar in the garden. The managers made sure that there were bug repellents everywhere and the cutlery was washed and sanitized. What more…I got help in planning my trip to Jaisalmer and Osiyan free of cost!

In all you will enjoy your stay in Jodhpur if you live at Suryagarh. I stayed here for about 40 days with my friends. The price was great.

We stayed here from 8-20th October.Hotel was fab.Special mention must go to the manager Suri and his wife who are genuinely nice people and very helpful. We’re Irish- a nation of hot tea lover. We like to make tea ourselves but discovered a big tea fan in the owner who would not only share a cup of tea with us in the lush green gardens but would also tell us how he brewed tea. I think his wife makes the best Indian food ever. I am glad we stayed here and explored the desert region of Rajasthan. Great place..great food…we had a great time.

Feel the real haveli

The place is an ancient Haveli but equipped with all the modern amenities located within the city limits. The rooms are very spacious and clean with antique furniture. The owner was quite friendly and helpful in planning the city tour. He setup a campfire and provided a fabulous dinner too.

Like the room size ......and good friendly nature

very reluctantly we choose to stay at suryagarh heritage jodhpur since it was not on the front pages .

Our taking the chance turned out to be fluke. We could not afford to stay in place but we got to stay at the palacial room.We have never stayed in such huge magnificent Rooms .

The breakfast served was with the normal warmth of Rajasthan. The dinner was delicious, served in period crockery!!

Desert safari

Have yet to see a better hotel/resort till now. Stayed there for 2 days and cannot get over it by mentioning how comfortable the stay was. The property is an oasis in the desert. Must visit by all is what I can say

Stepping back in time.

Wonderful host, a true gentleman. Nice staff as well. The rooms are large and atmospheric with period furnishings. The small garden is nice and breakfast was plentiful. The lack of wifi should be remedied for those wanting to keep in touch. Nice place to chill out in the suburbs of Jodhpur. A tad out of the way but not a big deal for us. We really enjoyed our time here.

Beautiful Heritage Hotel

We stayed here only for a day but the stay was royal and pleasant. The rooms are very spacious and gives you the heritage look and feel…..specially if you come from urban area where real estate is premium. Great value for the money spent. Owners are very warm and hospitable giving you personal attention and all the advice you need to shop and eat in Jodhpur. They also gave us extra room with no cost to make us comfortable since we were family of four… Loved this place. Only suggestion would be to maintain this place little more better to enhance the royal look.

A heritage location in blue city

Listened about Jodhpur many a times , last month got a chance to visit there, as a photography insect I tour to all the places with natural beauty and heritage locations, this time target was Jodhpur as I said “I got what I heard”, remarkable city, and Suryagarh heritage was just great, Its nearness to the airport provoked me to stay there , the place is calm with very luxurious rooms and good services, the owner gives you all the choices for having meals and breakfast wherever you feel comfortable on the terrace, at the garden or in room. Gives you feel that you are’nt staying here but you really own it . The stay was marvelous.

A canavas of history

A stay here was just like viewing eloquent historical programme at history 18 . Really when i was in my bed facing the ceiling of my room i felt this feeling so large rooms, damn good hand finishings, really speaking is easy but preserving is difficult, the entry was simple but when we go little further we can feel the “history canvassed”. It really depicted what my friend advised me.

worth the money, good host

had a good time. A little far off from the centre, but taxis can be arranged.
homely atmosphere with a good breakfast.
very welcoming host who is willing to go the extra mile.
the rooms were very spacious, albeit a bit stuffy.
good with large families.

a complete worth of the hit

i have planned my visit here last month and i was so overwhelmed by the response and services provided by the staff and members.
a really nice place to come across with. i have made up my mind that every time i visit to this city, i’ll be in this hotel only. the calmness and the ambience which i felt here was very much soothing. and the service they have, is simply the best in the area i guess.
my trip went pretty cool, and this hotel is quite admirable

Jovial Host

First and foremost I want to say I didn’t went here by any advising agencies, the thing is that now a days I don’t believe in them (tour advisors), here as I reached I could’nt believe My face expressions surprisingly changed as I saw the rooms, I don’t think any one could have seen such a BIGGGGY rooms, I really felt as I was like some Emperor’s guest for a moment, then the meeting with Host Mr. Rammi good God he was just superb, I don’t have more words to express myself, I really enjoyed it. I can’t say more because “Some things in this World can only be felt by heart and cannot be expressed in words”.

Heritage guest house in the true sense-lot of history attached here

OK so I am a historian and I was visiting Rajasthan with my wife. I was looking to stay at places with a lot of history attached. I did not have much luck finding many such hotels but in Jodhpur I struck gold.

Suryagarh Heritage Guest House is really a ‘heritage’ destination for any traveler seeking unique experiences in Rajasthan. I was told that the building is one of the few oldest buildings in Jodhpur. You will be blown away by the rich architectural beauty of the guest house. What we enjoyed most was the bonfire the owners did on New Years night. It was one of the most amazing experiences-fire, drinks, yummy food, clear skies, beautiful garden, and a building so beautiful that words cannot describe. I have already made my plans to return here in October.

The rooms are beautiful-nothing like your ordinary hotel room-they are huge and decorated tastefully. The owners were kind and very friendly. That really made our trip worthwhile.
